This is the Campen lighthouse from which Ali DF2BC and Eilert DL9BDM operated a portable station in August 1999.

The very neat coil wound on a wheely bin. It is tapped every 20 turns and will resonate any antenna on 136kHz from 20mtrs to over 100mtrs.

This variometer sits inside the bin and allows the antenna to be resonated. I don't know how they adjust it whilst transmitting....
