John's beautifully made coil lives in this plastic dustbin to keep the rain off. The variometer can be seen on top of the coil.

The house end of the G4GVC long wire is supported by this fiberglass mast. John uses "invisible" 22swg wire for the antenna. That, and the jpeg compression, explain why you can't see it!
